Such a bold statement isn't news for surfers who have been tracking this storm all week, but headlining news for citizens of the North who aren't acutely on top of the prevailing weather pattern.The headline began to read: "A powerful typhoon that could intensify into the highest hurricane category is barreling toward the Philippines, international storm trackers reported yesterday."As we brace for the storm, let's hope we are more prepared and have learned our lesson from Typhoon Ondoy (Hurricane Ketsana, Sept 2009).
